Education for Students with Special Needs
In 1993 there were
470,000 people under 25 years with a disability in Australia and an estimated
62,000 students with a disability in schools (ABS 1993). This briefing
paper details the problems faced by these students and their families
in rural and remote areas in being enrolled in schools and in participating
fully in education.
