MOBILE PHONES AND PEOPLE WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENT
Commission press release on outcome of inquiry : 6 April 2001These settlements follow from an inquiry by the Disability Discrimination Commissioner into some issues that have arisen in the change from analog to digital mobile phones. Some people who use hearing aids are able to use analog mobile phones but are prevented by electromagnetic interference from using digital mobile phones.
