Commission summit for peak disability organisations 2001
On 4 and 5 December 2001 the Australian Human Rights Commission hosted a summit for peak disability organisations to discuss how far we have come to date in implementation of the DDA and more broadly in advancing human rights for people with disabilities; to review and assess the most effective strategies for using the DDA to achieve the elimination of disability discrimination; and to work on formulating an appropriate agenda, priorities and plans of action for implementation of the DDA in its second decade - for the Commission and for other organisations.

Papers:
At the Commission's invitation, most organisations involved prepared papers for discussion. Participants in the meeting agreed that these papers contained views and information which could be valuable for a wider audience. Accordingly, we are publishing those papers here as authors submit their final versions.
